Happy February!
This month in Grade Six we are...
*learning about the Order of Operations in Math, followed by Algebra.
*hosting our Valentine Market!
*finishing our novel, A Long Walk to Water, and doing various writing activities around the topics in it. We have switched our spelling around and are now making spelling lists on Mondays, and doing the spelling test on Fridays.
*learning about Jesus' teaching in Bible. We continue to have a new BMV biweekly. Students are expected to memorize this at home.
*continuing to work on our culture project in Social Studies.
*finishing our endocrine system unit in Science, and hopefully starting our next unit.
Important Dates:
Feb 5 - Ski Day, meet at the school at 7:30
Feb 9 - Symphony Field Trip
Feb 11 - Valentine Market - students bring everything they are selling, homemade signs, and anything else they need
Feb 12 - count up earnings from the market, determine profit and donation amount
Feb 13 - no school, ProD
Feb 16 - no school, Family Day
