Updates for March
Happy Spring!
We only have two weeks until spring break, so here is what we are working on:
1) Finishing our novel study final project studying mood and tone in "A Long Walk to Water". We will also be watching and dissecting Salva's Ted Talk this week, then dipping back into a mini-writing unit before the break.
2) Spelling - lists are created on Mondays, tests on Fridays.
3) Grammar Work - we label all the parts of speech on Monday in a sentence, then we are working on comparative adjectives this week.
4) Math - different types of triangles and how to classify them. We will also get into perimeter of complex shapes and at least begin calculating area of triangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids.
5) Socials - finish typing the 5 reports for their Culture Project with a title page and table of contents.
6) Science - complete the brochure on a disease affecting the endocrine system.
7) Bible - continue looking at parables
8) Art, Drama, and some other fun things
9) I will be slowly moving furniture and supplies into the portable over the next two weeks - we will officially be in there after spring break!
